Redback Boots, founded in the 1920s and supplier to the Australian Defence Forces, has a proud retail history in its home country. Today, it is automating production processes to deliver high-quality boots faster, backed by Microsoft cloud solutions that enable a closer relationship with customers at home and abroad.
Optimising business strategies
Meticulous customer care and attention to detail has always been a hallmark of Redback Boots. And now, technology is a key part of that process.
Redback Boots uses Microsoft Dynamics 365 to provide a comprehensive management solution for key customer data such as names, locations and purchase histories, as well as retailers’ business details. This is augmented by valuable analytics and insights from Power BI. SharePoint enables information and best practices to circulate across the company and wider supply chain.
Transforming the employee experience
In the past, Redback Boots employees would drive to rural towns armed with a Yellow Pages phone book, requesting local shoe shops stock their merchandise. Orders were placed by phone and fax, using paper.
Today, Microsoft’s business application platforms provide an instant view of customer data and relevant market information – conveniently displayed on sales teams’ mobile devices. The Redback Boots website is even being designed with a portal to allow retailers to view their sales performance and communicate back with the company.
